Purpose for the Conference
The CTFA Annual Conference will serve as a forum for members of the tobacco control community in Arizona and neighboring states to come together to gain new information and network in sharing lessons learned, successes and challenges. The conference will focus on best practices, promising programs and current research in the areas of prevention, cessation and secondhand smoke. We also hope to bring special focus to the topic of integrating tobacco control into the broader public health picture, specifically with regard to chronic disease programs.
Conference Objectives:
- To provide a venue to bring together professionals and community members to partner in tobacco control efforts in Arizona and its neighboring states
- To develop knowledge and skills of tobacco control through trainings, panel discussions and presentations for tobacco control professionals and advocates in Arizona and neighboring states
- To learn the latest research on tobacco control
- To offer opportunities for state programs to highlight and present today's most promising approaches in tobacco control
- To provide an update on the status of tobacco control in Arizona and neighboring states
- To partner with neighboring states to share successes and lessons learned
